I'm currently on sabbatical and honeymoon, doing the gap year my partner Babs and I didn't do when we were younger -- seeing (and eating) the world, and learning whatever we can about local, seasonal, traditional and organic eating and agriculture.
Previously, I've paid the food bills a number of ways including providing business strategy advice, writing for newspapers, producing and editing videos, copywriting corporate annual reports, selling my photographs, babysitting cats, typing up coverage lists for insurance policies, and folding pizza boxes.
I'm excited to see what I end up doing next, after this journey. I'm hoping it's food-related.
I was born and bred in food-mad Singapore, and lived for bits of time in Boston and New York before working and getting swept off my feet in London.
I love trying new foods, cooking for family and friends, and starting BBQ fires. Left to my own devices I can be found pointing my camera too close to my food, dawdling at farmers markets, and terrorising crustaceans everywhere.
