This one's for those who came before us, who made our kooky food-mad little island nation what it is today. And for those blazing new trails in Singapore, and Singaporeans hacking new paths far from home, going up against money, steel and the sometimes seemingly unstoppable wave of middle class routines and comforts, shaping the heart of what Singapore could be tomorrow.
This one's also for all you people out there who are in the food service industry for a living. After pulling our first lunch AND dinner double shift at Goz's Plusixfive supperclub this past Sunday, all I can say is... y'all NUTS. Much respect.
And thanks Goz for not taking a photo of me passed out on his couch between shifts, phone still in hand, mid tweet. Or so I think...
