Above: The run-list for Two Hungry Girls' debut supperclub.
One of the unexpected but very special privileges of running our fledgling startup Edible Experiences, is to be involved in the birthing of a delicious new supperclub. I've now been the midwife to 4 such lovely ventures, Plusixfive Singapore supperclub and Wild Serai Malaysian supperclub, and 2 in this month (April 2012) alone: Two Hungry Girls and Platform 65's Literary Supperclub Series, where dishes get paired with stories and poems.
Today I was going to write about the magic I felt when Two Hungry Girls (Leigh and Shu) partnered up with another two hungry girls (storyteller Cui and me). But I woke up this morning to realise that Emily of The Long Way Home blog had already done the hard work, and done it well. So I reckon you should just read her very kind and generous post! Thank you Emily!
For my part, let me just tempt you with a few teaser shots of the treats by the very talented, creative and dedicated Two Hungry Girls and our hungry storyteller. If you like what you see, there are more photos here on our Edible Experiences Facebook page. Take a minute to "Like" us too please!
And if you like what you hear, a hungry little bird tells me that Two Hungry Girls and Platform 65 might be teaming up again soon for a new instalment of delights for both the belly and the mind. Email thgsupperclub@gmail.com and / or cui@platform65.org to get early alerts when event details get decided.
Disclosure: I'm the founder of Edible Experiences and I run marketing and bookings for Two Hungry Girls and Platform 65's Literary Supperclub series
